KLWX 8774 rests at the massive Cemex plant in Dittlinger, just south of New Braunfels. This ex-CSX (nee-CR) SD60M has since left the property, replaced by a trio of KLW Tier 4 rebuilds.

NS 8520 sits in North Winston yard, with an unusually large amount of planes sitting behind it at the Smith Reynolds regional airport.

A cornfield meet. Well not exactly. I was in the mud in the cornfield and 1998 was sitting in the shop dead, a familiar role for this unit.

Faded glory,yet distinguished. Basking in the Sunday sun by a cornfield with a river nearby, bucolic ain’t the word. With a wide variety of power one never knows what will appear next.
