The train DSNG 461 from Durango to Silverton was hauled by the lead diesel locomotive DL-535E 106. Between Hermosa and Rockwood the steam locomotive K-36 480 was used as a helper.

The diesel locomotive DL-535E 101, acquired from the White Pass and Yukon Railway in 2020, is on the way to Silverton with train DSNG 461 near Hermosa.

D&S 461 heads "west" on the old D&RGW timetable on the south side of Hermosa.
